教宗本篤十六世考慮改用節約能源的轎車。

教宗本篤十六世每次出國，都使用一車輛專屬賓士轎車，但梵蒂岡準備把它換成一輛節能轎車，大約今年底或明年初開始使用。教宗預定9月22到25號訪問德國，德國之行還來不及使用這輛節能轎車。
